IRS Proposal Includes Adoption of Circular 230 and Tax CPE

Earlier this year, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) issued its plan for mandatory tax preparer registration, which extends to all paid tax return preparers. The new regulation has four major components to it: registration, continuing professional education, examination and ethics.
